When you discover Diamondback, you soon realize it's a place you can
come to on your own and see familiar faces.  Our sports bar (which
incidentally was made from our original Roaring Gap restaurant location)
wraps around our regular bartenders.  Shortly after 5 pm, folks just start
to trickle in, ready to visit with others who might have happened by.  

To keep things interesting, we offer daily drink specials, some
thirst-quenching beers on draught, and enough wines by the glass to
satisfy any connoisseur.
In the vein of a true neighborhood gathering spot, Diamondback rarely
closes due to snowy weather.  In fact, a good heavy snow turns on the
party light any day of the week and the crowds roll in for a raucous
time.  Most staff members have 4-wheel drive, while many others live in
the condos across the street, well within walking distance.  

So if Diamondback has power, we'll build a roaring fire in our fieldstone
fireplace right beside the bar.  In January 1996, it snowed two feet over
two days, and Diamondback never closed -- working briskly to satisfy
the hunger and thirst of our neighbors' eight straight days of midnight
sledding!  

Watch out though, because on really lively stormy nights, a snowball
fight has been known to break out inside the Diamondback.
